Three days is the sweet spot for Udaipur.
One day gets you the headlines: City Palace, a boat on Pichola, the climb to Sajjangarh. Two days lets the city breathe — Saheliyon ki Bari in the morning light, Shilpgram in the afternoon, the Dharohar folk dance in the evening. Three days is when you stop ticking things off and start noticing the place: the smell of the flower market near Jagdish Temple, the fact that Fateh Sagar has a different mood at six in the morning.
Our packages cover the car, the chauffeur, fuel, tolls and parking, and a route built around monument timings rather than a brochure. Hotels, guides, boat tickets and entry fees are added if you want them, priced transparently, or left to you entirely — a lot of guests prefer to book their own stay and just take the car.
Everything here can be reshaped. Add Kumbhalgarh, drop Shilpgram, start a day later, finish at the airport instead of the hotel. Tell us what you want and we will redraw the driving plan around it before you pay anything.

Day by day
Classic Udaipur — 3 days, 2 nights
The itinerary we run most often. Each day is roughly eight hours with the car, and the order is set by when the monuments actually open.
Pickup from Maharana Pratap Airport or Udaipur City station and a drop at your hotel to freshen up. The afternoon begins at the City Palace — the Mewar royal residence, the Crystal Gallery and the Zenana Mahal — then down to the Pichola jetty for a boat that passes the Lake Palace and stops at Jag Mandir island. Evening in the Hathi Pol and Bapu Bazaar lanes, which are where the miniature painters and the bandhani sellers actually are, followed by the Dharohar folk dance at Bagore ki Haveli at seven.
A full day. Saheliyon ki Bari in the morning while the fountains are running, then Fateh Sagar and the drive along the bund, the Maharana Pratap Gaurav Kendra for the Haldighati story, and lunch somewhere Rajasthani rather than somewhere on a tour circuit. Afternoon at the Vintage Car Museum in the old Mewar State Motor Garage, then Shilpgram if there is time, and the climb up to Sajjangarh — the Monsoon Palace — timed so you are at the top for the last half-hour of light.
A relaxed morning. Jagdish Temple if you missed it, the Karni Mata ropeway at Doodh Talai, or an hour at Gangaur Ghat watching the city wash its clothes. Check out, and a drop at the airport or the station. If your flight is late we can add a half-day of Eklingji and Nathdwara on the way, which is a much better use of the time than a hotel lobby.

Lake Pichola & Jag Mandir

Jagdish Temple
1651, thirty-two steps up from the bazaar, and still a working temple rather than a monument.
Sajjangarh
The Monsoon Palace on its hill. Unfinished, slightly melancholy, and the best view in Mewar.
Saheliyon ki Bari
Built for the forty-eight maids of honour who came with a royal bride. Lotus pools, marble elephants, working fountains.
Bagore ki Haveli
The Dharohar folk performance at seven, in a haveli courtyard by the ghat. Book ahead in season.
Planning a Udaipur trip
Udaipur is small enough to see properly and rich enough to reward a slow visit. The city sits in a valley in the Aravallis with Lake Pichola at its centre, and almost everything worth seeing is within six kilometres of the City Palace. That compactness is why a three-day trip here feels fuller than a week spent commuting between sights in a larger city.
When to come
October to March is the season, and December to February the peak — cool days, cold mornings, and the wedding calendar in full swing, which means hotels are expensive and the city is busy. The monsoon, from July to September, is quietly the best-kept secret: the lakes fill, the hills go green, Sajjangarh genuinely earns its name, and rates drop. April to June is hot, but early mornings and evenings are fine and there is nobody in the queue.

- One day — City Palace, Pichola boat, Saheliyon ki Bari, Sajjangarh at sunset.
- Two days — add Fateh Sagar, Shilpgram, the Vintage Car Museum and the evening folk show.
- Three days — the above at a human pace, with time for the bazaars and a morning at Gangaur Ghat.
- Four or five days — add Kumbhalgarh and Ranakpur, or Chittorgarh, or Nathdwara and Haldighati.
